I tried your positional method by placing straight in the pitcher and it didn’t create a vortex but it instead it churns violently by injecting too much water and it didn’t have any foam at all. It works only by pointing at the 9:00 o’clock position and tilt the jug slightly to spin it. 3:00 o’clock position doesn’t work for me…

What steam setting (1, 2 or 3) do you recommend for this technique?

I changed from an ECM Synchronika and the one thing I dont like is frothing milk. Incredibly short wand and hard to get consistent results.
