The potato chips taste kind of burnt frying like this. Instead, cut your chips, boil them for 5 mins, strain and dry the chips and fry the chips. You will notice that they fry a lot quicker and remain a golden yellow while frying. Also doesn’t taste burnt because of excessive frying.
