Great stuff, I remember trying to track down the Wagtail many decades ago. I am one of the few surviving founder members of the Midland APS and Don Burgoyne attended some of our early meetings in the 1960s.

What a pleasure hearing of these tales from "across the pond"! It's fun to compare them with similar adventures here in the US. Thanks so much !

Thanks for these tales of pioneers doing what they loved and your continuation of the tradition. Long may you continue to enthrall us.

Happy new year. Thanks for another tale of a very naughty boy. The inter war years were the hayday for self taught engineers. They found time design and build complex things whilst still putting bread on the family table. I suppose that with only the radio for entertainment there were less distractions. Less authority chucking it's weight about would have helped too.

Amazing, happy new year to you and thank you for a year of historic short films . I’m here in Los Cabo Mexico, fleeing the Canadian Winter that really hasn’t happened yet, I’ve got wifi on the beach so all is well, cheers Rick

"Subsequent repairs costing 2/-..."😅. Another kitchen sink pioneer's story saved from vanishing. Thanks once again Nick.

A wonderfully detailed account of an obscure aircraft and its designer/builder. Thank you

"The Flying Bedstead" seems to have borne a close resemblance to the SG-38 Schulgleiter.

Fred was a man after my own heart. Some rules should be treated as suggestions.

I've read of the light-plane competitions at Lympne in the 30's.. Could you do a video about this? I have a book on it and it was an interesting facet of British aviation..
