My friends, let's try to paint a Warhammer Sicaran Battle Tank using some standard armor weathering techniques - hairspray chipping, post shading, enamel washes, rust effects painted with oil paints, and LAYERS of mud running down the sides!

Disclaimer: I have a good relationship with a handful of modelling brands and stores, namely VMS, Michigan Toy Soldier Company, and AK-Interactive. As such, I'm happy to use their products/services, and show them in my work. In return, they support my efforts in this hobby, although my hands are not bound nor am I obligated to push one brand or the other. This was one of the founding ideas of the channel and I will always stand by this.

Me: "Ah, I will just skip weathering and start the next kit."
Night Shift: "Now that the construction of the model is complete, I will add 458 rivets, 12 km of handmade welding seams and some square km of texture. It's highly rewarding."

15:35 "Over 100 years old" add one zero at the end and you are spot on :)

Golden Demon better watch out with Uncle Night Shift smashing into the Warhammer space.

As a welder, thank you for the beautiful welds.

Martin here just casually paints up a Golden Demon contender as his "first Warhammer model".

Literally the first time I see a 40k tank look like heavy machinery, and not a toy. Thank you so much for this video, it has everthing. This is all the inspiration any warhammer player will ever need to get a good tank result

A lot of the tanks in warhammer are based look wise on WW1&2 tanks. So seeing a historical modeler tackle one is a joy to watch!

I've picked up so many ideas from you in the past for painting and building my tanks for my own Warhammer guides so it's great to see take on a Warhammer tank of your own! Awesome work as always, you're an inspiration.

The Machine Spirit of this mighty tank is truly venerable and it's construction immaculate. Blessed be your war machine, Tech-Priest Night Shift.

I really love how you stripped down the "unrealistic" details and replaced them, informed by your real-life knowledge

Probably one of the best 40k models on the entire planet. Wild

FYI, in Warhammer there is 5 Chaos Gods: Nurgle - God of disease, death, despair, inevitable decay and rebirth; Khorne - God of war, hate, rage, murder and bloodshed; Slaanesh - God of pleasure, pain, excess, self-indulgence and perfection; Tzeentch - God of change, sorcery, ambition, hope and knowledge; Martin - God of Textures and Weathering.

1. Submit it to golden deamon (may be the best GW tank ever painted).
2. Now we just need a video series where you paint the rest of the army. lol

Warhammer players deserve to be shown how big and beautiful the world of modeling techniques is outside of the Games Workshop walled garden, and I hope this video blows up to help spread the word. Nice work Uncle!

You did grim-dark styling perfectly. You seemed to "get it" intrinsically. So your application and level of weathering really hits the bullseye. Good job. Now do a Space Marine in this same style (oddly enough your same armor modeling techniques are applicable to the smaller power armor, though size poses a challenge). You are now the envy of most 40K gamers.

I can foresee Uncle Night Shift bursting into Golden Demon contests like the Koolaid man, shouting "My Fwends!" instead of "Oh, yeah"

You absolutely crushed that build, I've never seen a WH tank taken anywhere close to that level. Amazing what a real pro kit modeler can achieve. I bet half the WH vehicle painting competition entrants are online ordering Tamiya putty right now LOL.

You're absolutely right about the cutmarks! You can also see them in the current Space Marine 2 game. On tanks and also dreadnoughts. Thanks to the photo mode, you can see all the details at your leisure
