FYI they don't come fully built, this is due to the crate size. Obviously the bulk of the machine is together but the tires and other hub pieces are left off to fit into the square crate.

The loose bolt issue is the installer at the dealership that puts the rest of the machine together before it hits the showroom. I have met a number of these guys. Some are mechanics who are very tedious and some are just installers 18 years old doing it as a summer job and not so meticulous.

This assemble at the dealership is an issue at most dealerships and this is why they tell you to check every bolt you can see when you buy any atv dirtbike utv crotchrocket Harley naked cruiser what have you. Cars are the only vehicle fully assembled and delivered from the factory.

2021 outlander 1000r here. Accidentally stumbled across this video while looking up how to content. I actually found the first one myself while greasing the zerk fitting. The top bolt was almost entirely backed out but no bolts lost. Noticed around 600 miles. Going to check that plate tomorrow, thanks for the heads up!

Yep. I have a 22' Outy 650 XT and the left side sway bar bushing bolts were observed to be loose about a month and a half ago. I was just greasing it as well and noticed it. Took the bolts out, cleaned them and used some blue lock tight. Haven't had any issues since. Cheers!

Good catch. My 2021 outlander had same issue, it was making so much noise I thought it was something with arms or shocks. Glad I found the issue before they fell off. Good video.

I have a 2019 XMR-850 and I found mine were loose too. I got mine brand new and found them on my first walk around. (I'm a mechanic) The factory must have the same guy installing these. 😊 Nice catch. "Ride Hard an Be Safe" MN Bill

I have a 20 570 dps same problem. And my 23 1000xmr had the same issue. The dealer could not explain why on that side for some reason. But dealers know about this issue and are choosing not to discuss or inform about it.

From Aussie, they were loose on my 2019 650, one was completely gone and another half way out, we call this the pitman arm bush, you guys might call it something else, unfortunately I found the issue in the form of a suspension rattle, wish I would have seen you segment earlier.

It's not just your machines. I've got a 22 and had the same issue on the right side of the machine. Couldn't find the clunk and took back to the dealership. They couldn't find it. I found it before we left the dealership and we pulled them and reinstalled with locktite. No issue since.

While greasing zerks on my 2021 Can Am Outlander 1000 XMR guess what I found. Yep, the front sway bar bushings were loose. The right side lower bolt was about to fall out. The others looked fine but they were loose as well. The 10 mm socket wrench got them tight. The three bolts that looked fine each took 1/2 to 3/4 turn to achieve a tight fitting.
