Christian here. I hate when the Bible is misquoted and taken out of context. Therefore, i don't support misquoting and taking the Quran out of context either. If someone has an argument against ANY other religion, then be honest. Knowing that you HAVE to take something out of context to support your argument should make you realize that maybe your argument was wrong.

I am 42 and was brought up where mainstream media portrayed Muslims as evil and Islam as an angry violent religion. I feel so dumb because I lived most my life with that belief. Until at 41 I started a working relationship with several Muslim men one of which a young boy of 18 began to talk to me about Islam and the Quran. He played youtube teachings of the Quran and Islam. I have never looked back. Islam is such a beautiful and pure religion. I saw nothing of the violence that "my people " talked about. Actually I've thought about converting to Islam as I found it comforting, nothing like what I was brainwashed to believe my entire life.

Soorah maedeh(مائده)number5.
Verse 82.
Arabic text:لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَةً لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُمْ مَوَدَّةً لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّا نَصَارَىٰ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ.
English translation:
Surely You will find the most hostile of all people towards the faithful to be the Jews and the polytheists, and surely you will find the nearest of them in affection to the faithful to be those who say ‘We are Christians.’ That is because there are priests and monks among them, and because they are not arrogant.

This is my favourite verse in the Quran

O believers! Do not enter the homes of the Prophet without permission ˹and if invited˺ for a meal, do not ˹come too early and˺ linger until the meal is ready. But if you are invited, then enter ˹on time˺. Once you have eaten, then go on your way, and do not stay for casual talk. Such behaviour is truly annoying to the Prophet, yet he is too shy to ask you to leave. But Allah is never shy of the truth. And when you ˹believers˺ ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a barrier. This is purer for your hearts and theirs. And it is not right for you to annoy the Messenger of Allah, nor ever marry his wives after him. This would certainly be a major offence in the sight of Allah.
