My dad was born and raised in Champaign! I've flown into that airport several times. I never landed there in my own small plane but so cool to see it from a private plane vs the airlines.

Great IFR video, Jason. 2nd one I've watched today in hopes of starting my instrument training this fall. Can't wait to see the next leg.

That right there is the type of IFR I like to do. I'm not one to want to shoot approaches down to minimums. But being able to fly in the clouds would open up more options to fly, especial here in Texas where the clouds routinely love to hand around the 3, 000' mark.

I'm guessing you didn't check fuel costs before landing here since we usually have the third most expensive 100LL in Illinois after O'Hare and Midway. ;)

When ATC puts you on a heading that has you 'scratching your head' (4:49 "wonder where they're sending us"), is it wrong to ask their intentions? Obviously going to do it in a nice, quizzical way
