Abstract Algebra 49: Definition of isomorphisms

Abstract: We explain the rigorous definition of what it means for two groups to be isomorphic. First we define what it means for a map from one group to another to be an isomorphism. Then, we say that groups G and H are isomorphic if there exists an isomorphism from G to H (which also implies the existence of an isomorphism from H to G).
