Sea level rise: the story so far. Feat. @ClimateAdam

Sea level rise is one of the most important - and potentially devastating - impacts of climate change.

I'm so pleased to have the fantastic @ClimateAdam with me to explain how sea level has changed over the recent (and less recent) past.

(and don't forget to subscribe while you're there if you haven't already!)

Sadly, sea level rise is already baked in. That being said, keep the videos coming. I don't know the time line but this will occur: Permafrost/methane hydrate will cause temps to rise too high causing wildfires etc. and phytoplankton will stop making oxygen as the Oceans warm. These two effects in either order will cause oxygen in the atmosphere to drop to 11% starting at high altitudes. Small fauna and some flora will survive at 11% oxygen. New normal 5-10 million years.

How much does the past data of CO2 concentration tell us were likely committed to SLR.. ~15ft? ~60ft ~100ft? Saw somewhere that on ave it's 1ft of SLR per 1ppm CO2.

Um, I'm not sure you properly understand the tree-falls problem... Wikipedia gives it a pretty good treatment, have a quick look!
