Why not flood the great depressions of the earth, like those in Australia, Africa, and Asia, with ocean water to create inland seas? Most of these places were filled with water in ancient times. Doing this would lower the earth's temperature and would increase rainfall.
Cleaner safer nuclear power generation is the real solution to the problem of rising temperatures and oceans. France is leading the way, getting over three quarters of its power needs from nuclear energy plants, none of which contribute to global warming.

im thinking of human civilization at every country beside the coast to start digging the earth down near the sea for whatever reason be it for commercial purposes, spaces for all human sort of activities that can be done inside and doesn't cause alot loss of properties or assets when sea level starts rises or empty canals to be use to divert flood waters, under ground routes that link bullet trains etc. the dug out earth can be used for the countries construction. so if one day, sea level rises due to melting of ice berg, the empty spaces dug all over the world will be first filled with the sea water rising inland. and as the sea level rises, it fills up to other empty caverns from the underground train routes. the more combined spaces in the world is dug, the more sea water we can avoid from flooding inward to lower rising lands or countries right ? imagine digging a Dia 1km wide and 1km depth underground space from washington then underground routes to texas and then goes up to new york or any other routes. the total dug up empty spaces can be used to fill up the sea water when they rises. all these underground spaces can even be used as temporary bomb shelters for comet or nuclear detonation etc. humans doesnt necessary to simply build up. we should start looking down. a full cycle chain of business involving a new type of profession for big gigantic earth diggers that digs deep, transfer and refinery for other construction materials etc.
