...another method for solving the 'points scored" problem is to set up a "best case scenario": all 3-pointers x 12 baskets = 36 points. Actual number of points is 29, so change seven (36 - 29) of the 3-pt baskets to 2-pointers instead, leaving 5 baskets of 3 points each, 7 of 2 points each.

The slick solution is to take the tens digit of 343(4), take the given value of the tens digit (5), and subtract them (5-4=1)
