I have seen 1883 the entire series twice and loved it. From the authenticity to all the amazing actors plus beautiful scenery thrown in, in my opinion it’s a must see

I believe 1883 is a Masterpiece. Absolutely loved the cast. I’m on my 6th time watching Yellowstone which I’ve loved so much.
I got halfway through 1927 and sadly lost interest, thinking Sheridan has spread himself too thin. But I will love the other two until my last breath…!

This was an excellent movie with really good actors in it. Tim and Faith played their parts so good it almost seemed real. To bad it couldn't continue to more seasons. It would probably be as good as Yellowstone.

Rattlesnake references the Don’t tread on me flag I think. I wouldn’t want to go to Oregon now and glad I got to go before things got too crazy out there.

It’s a good series. But the conversations are unrealistic. Notice how one of them always finished with a sentence and then suddenly just walks away. Always the case in every scene.

A tad melodramatic, but good show nonetheless.

They should have set it in 1863, not 1883. The journey west they portray in this series is just too "primitive" for 1883. By 1883 many railroads crossed the west - there was even a RR station in Bozeman MT which was less than 50 miles from where the Dutton family ended up. Denver Colorado was already a well established city with brick 3-story buildings and it was further west than than the people portrayed in this series were for most of their journey. Lakota war parties were not still freely roaming the plains in 1883. Wagon trains just weren't still crossing the plains and nearly losing everybody in 1883. It seems like they wanted to establish that James Dutton was a Civil War veteran and Elsa had just turned 18 and she had been born soon after the Civil War ended in 1865 -- and it was for that reason alone that it was set in 1883.

There were some kinda gay parts, considering cowboys didn't talk like that, but it was entertaining and sweet to watch 😢

I tried to watch this and it was absolute crap. Photographically great, but horrendous dialog and a terrible plot. Unwatchable.
