Don't ask for easier times, ask to be a stronger person.

This is so true. I was looking at people fighting illnesses, family problems yet doing better than me mentally. The answer was: purpose in life.

This man single handedly helped me learn about and practice having discipline in my life. I may not be the best me yet but I feel like I'm getting closer every day.

Lord, don't move my mountain. Just give me the strength to climb it.

I just retired recently, and looking back on my life, it was a series of incredibly difficult challanges and it was all I could do to face daily responsibilies. But the reward for accepting every challange and surviving through it is ultimately my reward. Life is very hard, but in the end there is great satisfaction in having faced everything that I to overcome. I think ultimately that's the purpose of life.

I’m there right now. I know everything I should be doing. I can’t even make myself do them. Just wake up wishing I was dead but knowing I’m not that selfish to do it. So I’m stuck in a loop of depression

You can tell this man has been through some real shit. That's why he's VERY confident in what he's saying. He's learned first hand.

I'm depressed anxious nihilistic and on the edge of suicide, and I have so much responsibility I'm drowning in it.

Rescuing animals saved me from suicide. I'm still depressed but it's what keeps me going and gives my life meaning.

Growing plants and learning to be more caring to people and everything helped me a lot and I realized is you put out negative thoughts and think the world is shit You will realize it is but if you focus on putting out goodness and love you will receive it like what ever energy you put into the universe comes back to you

I'm living chronically in emptiness because my life is too easy. This is true.

I lived in the forest for months, homeless in Norway . I lost my job, money and heartbroken .Was one of the best moments of my life when i realized how beautiful life is when you have the goal to survive to all cost without harming anybody only youself with sacrifice and determination

I can relate! Music is my outlet, my life’s “meaning.” I’ll work a job, yes, but my music gives my life far more meaning than any paycheck, even the biggest one I’ve gotten (which was for music 🎶)

Yep it's better to have nothing but a meaning then have everything and just feel lost in side

Hit the nail directly on the head!! We HAVE to get out of the house and get involved in something meaningful. The disconnect is what makes us feel untethered.

This person looked right into my life, without even looking and said exactly what i was missing ... restraint.

Life is pain, life is challenge. Growth is knowledge, knowledge is limitation, responsibility is sacrifice for the other.

I was floating through life, got married started to get dialed in my son came along and I am laser focused on what needs to be done to make sure my family is safe and have what they need. If there isnt something there that is more important to you than you, being truly happy will be very very difficult.
