If I was young and money was no object I would be doing what you say here. It all sounds so smart. However I do not have freeze dried and I cannot order from azure why because the quantities are more than I would live to eat let alone have the money to buy, so I dehydrate and do what o can.

🍎 I ❤ the meals in jars/mylar bags! I now have enough FD foods that I am making these & more. I have done freezer meals for years and living in a Hurricane area, I grew up knowing to be prepared & self reliant in a variety of ways. Thanks for all you share! 🍎🍎🍎

Jara, you outdid yourself today! I heard the word "Fall" and I couldn't wait to watch. Started watching and then we left for a farmer's market...got back, put everything away and sat back down to watch. I have to tell you...I immediately went to your Thrive Life and ordered the apple powder and butternut squash! I want to get these meals into my preps so since I already have my freeze dryer going steady, I went ahead and ordered. I loved every recipe! Thank you as always.🍎🍎

You are so right about products from different companies taste and perform differently. We got cheese powder from Honeyville Grains. My autistic son enjoyed making himself macaroni and cheese with it. I was thrilled. It freed me up to do other things and he was gaining independence and life skills. Honeyville Grains stopped selling to the public.😢. I tried a different brand. It didn't taste the same, was too bright of an orange color, and clumped together. Now my son refuses to come into the kichen. 😢

Hey Jara!
Great recipes. My husband isn't a fan of broccoli but I ordered a can for me. That soup sounds delish. Thanks for sharing! 🍎

🍎 I use the Bakers spray as it has flour in it and find the oil doesn't pool in the pan, and it helps cake type items not to stick. Same principle as the old way of flour dusting a pan.

Thank you for the recipes but unfortunately they are unrealistic for majority of people 😢. I packed mash potato powder with seasonings and tiny bit of freeze dried meat because they are expensive or a couscous version in Mylar bags, only requires hot water, no cooking required.

🍎these look so good. I think I am at the point that I have the supplies to make a couple of these. I really want to make the apple cinnamon bread. Yum.

You need to add put cinnamon and sugar topping on top of cake before baking. Watched your video to see when I added the topping. Just a heads up. Love your recipes keep experiencing please your meals are awesome.

When you freeze dry apple slices, do you need to dip the slices in citric acid first (like you need to when dehydrating) to preserve their color, or no?

🍎All of these meals look so delish. It has been cooler in the morning and evenings so fall has felt like it is in the air. I think these are some great meals to try as we transition into fall.

Question ❓ for the Cheesy Chicken and Vegetable Chowder recipe. How much cheddar cheese powder did you use? I think you might have forgotten to say. Thank you
