I'm so glad you're still on You Tube, the way you exposed copyright theft. Fil Forever!

At 7:21 Fil says, "For my taste I'd prefer her to have a little bit more ..."
'Silence' is the word I would choose.

Hits like a beauty pageant talent portion from a poor girl who really can't sing but didn't want to twirl a baton. Loved the bowling analogy!

one of the reasons I stopped watching talent searching shows on tv is because I couldnt figure out why judges didnt like a particular singer I thought was good. Turns out what judges hear live on the show is not the same as what is aired on tv, as admitted by the judges themselves.

My poor dog pissed on the floor and knocked herself out trying to flee through the closed glass patio door. Thanks Fil! ❤️

Thank you for clearly showing the difference, I’m not at all musical but have sensed a difference in current music (vocals) compared to older ones and it was through you channel that I started to understand why. Another observation, you are always kind with your words, it is very much appreciated in this time and age of hostility.

Things like this kinda disturb me. Years ago I worked at a theater where we did occasional live shows. We had a woman rent the theater, put posters around town exalting her "Thrilling three octaves" vocals, she rented a stage flat background, and hired a pianist from the Musicians' Union.
She was FAR worse than this singer here. Far worse. INCREDIBLY bad.
But here's the thing: like this woman you have here, she was SUPREMELY confident in her delivery.
Here's the part that bugs me, as a musician and one-time performer myself: How much of that kind of delusion am I under? If she could be THAT bad and not know it, am I horrible too?

My flatmate doesn't exactly have a great ear for pitch, and he cringed at this one. I even think the pitch correction wasn't quite enough. I feel sad for this woman, because she genuinely seems to be having a great time on stage, but she needs some more singing lessons. Her ear is not there, and I wonder if it's her, or her monitors, or both. I mean, she was way off! If this happened to me, I'd be a wreck, but I'm not a singer.

I thought the first one was the original, imagine the horror!! As my Dad used to say that girl ain't tone deaf, she's tone DEAD

OMG! She lost some kind of bet at local pub.
Kudos Fil! How you do this without cracking up is the mark of a serious and skilled teacher. ❤

Go dig up some live performances from the mid 1970's of the band, Heart (Ann Wilson). Her voice from that era is absolutely amazing. I can only imagine the destruction of vocals that would have been unleashed on her in today's production environment.

Fil’s poker-face. The struggle is real.

Bravo for managing to sing in so many different keys!

I thought the pitch corrected one was the uncorrected one! 😜 Plot twist! And then I heard the second one.

Wow, that was painful !! Your analysis was so generous Fil, I think pitch correction struggled with this performance.

Your videos are so informational for those who can't hear the difference until you take out the electronic correction. Most enjoyable!

Oh my... when I heard the first one was the one corrected I said to myself "Brace for impact!" 🙂 Great video!!!
