Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge Enhanced Edition reviewed by Gabriel Moss on PlayStation VR2
Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge Enhanced Edition is an excellent way to showcase the best features of a fancy new PlayStation VR2 headset to friends and family, but thanks to the expanded content it’s also a worthy shooter and a memorable Star Wars game in its own right. Unfortunately there’s no way to skip past the annoying first chapter, but if Star Wars fans are accustomed to anything it’s sitting through some bad episodes before you get to the good stuff. While it's slightly dogged by a few monotonous quests and some slow-burn character development, once it gets moving and throws you into punchy blaster battles it recreates that signature Star Wars atmosphere in detail so vivid that most of the 10 hours you’ll spend inside your headset are a great time.

The game's extra content/length and big tech improvements on PS VR2 feel like it's become the game the developers meant for it to be.
And they got to integrate some cool weapon haptics into a Star Wars game to go with the iconic sound effects.

This game is a dream come true to 10 year old me 2 decades ago. Love this game on Quest 2.

Played the 3-hour original game on the Quest 2, this looks like a considerable upgrade and I’m looking forward to checking it out when my PSVR 2 gets here!

This actually looks pretty fun for a Star Wars fan.

This is what VR needs, REAL games not tech demos.

Had a blast on the Quest 2 version. This game is a lot of fun and a must have for a SW fan.

For anyone who wants to skip to the Last Call part of the game, if you play the game in the "Story", you can cheese the first Wild location, by teleporting past gun fire. Just make sure you pick up the snacks (the scales and claws can be found in Hissiq Springs while the pods can be found in all three Wild locations) if you want to do the two Jedi tales. You can do Relic In The Ruins quest as soon as you get past the first Wild location, though in order to complete Fury Of The First Order, you will need to complete Droids in Distress first.

Going forward reviews should just be 7/10 unless we tell you otherwise

Man, I'm so glad to hear that slam against the Quest at the beginning. As an early adopter of PC VR we've watched high quality experiences dry up and die out over the past 5 or so years as the Quest took over all VR. It's been frustrating to watch the color drain out of the scene. It's nice to see that concepts like this Star Wars game aren't bad, they just need high quality VR to bring them to life. We need more of these to come back on the scene and prove that high quality VR has a place against dumbed-down mobile versions on standalone headsets like the Quest.

You can freely walk around too. Although🤢 do it at your own risk.

Something tells me IGN gives this a 7 🙂

It would be great if Jar Jar was in the game and they'd allow you to beat him to a pulp.

Remember when we used to get games like Jedi Academy, The Force Unleashed 1 & 2, almost Star Wars 1313.
