The deck also leans on Burning Wish and Past in Flames to access crucial win conditions like Grapeshot. I've been feeling the stress on the manabase aswell, especially if a T1 Sandstone Needle gets wasted. Another basic Mountain as Land Nr. 17 sounds reasonable.

I switched the Empty for Elemental Eruption because I've found myself in low gas situations or mana/ritual-flooded vs. Tempo later in the game and just being able to make dragons on a low storm count to either win or buy time was a nice option to have. Overall Empty might have a greater use case though, as you said.

Idk if you ever considered it, but at some point I was playing wooded foothills and Taigas to have mainboard Veil of Summer. It makes you weaker to wasteland, but you're so much better against discard and countermagic...i think it's probably better than Overmaster
