Long long ago. There lived a prince. The prince could not become king for he had many siblings in life for the throne. But he was loved by everyone and was enjoying a happy life. One day, the prince met another prince from far away country. The prince offered the other flowers. And the prince from far away told stories of his own country to the other prince. Just by hearing the tales. The prince thought the country sounded beautiful. And so the princes promised each other to travel there together one day. However the people around the prince thought it would be too dangerous to go to such a place and opposed.
But the prince would not yield.” That boy is a fellow prince and would never lie to me” “ and if that place is truly dangerous, then that is all the more reason for me to go..” “ I cannot let my young friend go there alone “
As the prince said, the prince from far away had told no lies. It was merely that… the prince from far away had only read about his land from storybooks himself. In reality his country.. was beautiful as he had said it would be…. And just as cruel.. this was because in that lived a monster who ate little children. The monster was planning to eat all the little children, one after the next. So, the prince decided to kill it before it could swallow his friend whole.. and mixed poison into the monsters food. But his fate would have it, one single strand of hair which had fallen into the monsters food gave away his plan. And there the prince was executed by the monster.
Now left all alone, the prince from far away stood in the same spot for a very very long time, weeping..

And on that very spot, he bloomed into a dandelion.

“A wish upon a dandelion”

Wandering in a quiet, and peaceful field, a boy at the age of 20 wearing a dark grey hoodie. He sauntered carelessly, not giving any attention to where he was going with a mind in a complete blank state. His consciousness regained and awakened as he stumbled and fell face-first on the soft grass of the field.

He slowly sat up, realizing that his right foot got caught on an inclined root of a tree. The boy looked up at the tree’s beautiful vibrant green crown, reminding him of his childhood friend who loved to climb the old oak tree in their backyard; reminding him of that precious and proud smile he wore whenever he managed to climb the tree despite his skinny physique.

“It’s been a while...” he thought as he stood back up.
He patted off the dirt on his clothes and slowly approached the tree, sitting down in between 2 roots with his back rested against the hard lower trunk.

The boy tilted his head up and stared at the leaves dancing with the gentle breeze. Flowing with the falling leaves, fluttered tiny dandelion achenes. He looked back down and stared at the dandelions that swayed with the wind.

He reached out his hand and gently plucked one by its stem, lifting it up and staring at it as a strong gust of wind blew away its white achenes. Seeing all the tiny achenes fly away made him recall his old habit of collecting multiple dandelions and blowing at them all at once.

His eyes slightly widened as he remembered the first time he had wished for someone rather than something when he was younger. He sighed and slowly rotated the empty dandelion bud in between his fingers, mumbling to himself.
“No matter how many dandelions I blew, no matter how many times I wished for you to be mine, you always end up somewhere I can’t reach you…”

The boy plucked another one and made one final wish; the final wish for his best friend to reciprocate his long-term feelings that lasted over 15 years…

I've heard many covers of this song. But this one felt more real than any cover. Usually song covers just seem to imitate the real song, the official song's singing style. Only a few covers manage to serve a totally different but real vibe of a song. And this felt like one of such very few cases. You can feel his voice in on your skin, in your bones. That's what music is, it should be felt and this one was such. Thankyou very much for such a great cover and I wish you had a Spotify account too. Great job! Thanks a lot!
