If you have this problem on Apex Legends try this.
Do not press leave the game from main menu to close the game. Press ALT+F4. I don't know why but this is working for me somehow.

Edit : It doesn't work anymore.

It worked when I just repaired
Edit: I didn’t have to uninstall and then reinstall
Just this for people who don’t feel safe uninstalling it: open the folder, open easy anti-cheat setup (like the video says) when you get up too uninstalling, just press repair then finish.
Doing that fixed my paladins

Still I wouldn’t know how to access that without this video. Thanks man :D
