To anyone reading I tried this exclusively today. I was able to hit it every time on 2 different purple belts and a white belt. I tried it on the black belt, and he spun into an arm bar and caught me. But considering im a white belt this move was very effective !

Im a brown belt in my mid 40s and lately I’ve been getting stuck in mount. I tried using this escape several times against different sized partners and I’ve been successful with nearly every attempt. Thanks for sharing.

This has been my #1 mount escape for almost a year now, I catch everyone with it. You can also add a bit more power so it's a little more like the classic oupa.
Also I've seen a variation used to create space and enter into the legs.
The only thing to be aware of is it can potentially open up an arm bar but it's not to common

Recently started BJJ, this video taught me my first escape. Used it in sparring multiple time and was successful. Felt good not being 100% vulnerable and having something to fall to when mounted. Great video thanks 🔥
