Planning a trip there in may. Been vegan for 7 years this will be so helpful

Oh.... next time, please try "Komeda is" near Higashi Ginza station. It's a vegan spinoff from a non-vegan cafe chain "Komeda's Coffee". It's not fancy like Ain Soph, but everything is delicious and authentic "Japanese" on the menu. And it opens from 7am, which is not easy to find in a vegan restaurant.

What I meant by authentic "Japanese" is that their pasta, sandwiches, burgers, and pancakes don't taste like what they are in US or Europe. They are made in Japanese style, which is more mild and light, but still full of flavors. It's hard to describe. You have to try it.

I was in Japan years ago and there wasn't any vegan restaurants. So happy to see this. Might need to plan a trip.

I made the mistake of taking a friend with a peanut allergy to T's Tan Tan. All of the ramen has peanut-based broth! She had plain rice, and we had to go elsewhere for her to eat. Also even the air there wasn't so good for her. I enjoyed it but won't be taking her back there. Thankfully we found plenty of other tasty places together!

Only three days in Tokyo.... The food looks so tasty! Yum!!!! I really have to plan all of this, especially how to use those machines!!! Regarding the vending machines, everything is crammed into one space - like a resume or the screen of the stock exchange with all those numbers scrolling everywhere. I wonder if there's a YouTube tutorial about it.... LOL Love your adventures!!!

I was in Tokyo a few times about 20 years ago, visiting actual Japanese friends - who could not for the life of them find me /anything/ to eat other than white rice as literally /everything/ had a fish-based dashi or fish sauce or fish flakes hidden somewhere in it. Vowed to never go back but so excited to see that maybe I can survive there on a future trip!
