Working with 3D Layers in Supercomp

Supercomp from the Red Giant VFX Suite doesn't (yet) work with native After Effects 3D layers, but you can make it work anyway! Collapsing the transformations of a precomp makes a layer honor the After Effects camera, but on a 2D layer! Michael Szalapski demonstrates it here.

Cheers Michael, but why doesn't this work 'out of the box' please? Which it should! Can you use 3D objects or Element 3D same way please?

This is good to know, thank you! I've started exporting "Shadow Passes" for my EXR Renders. Is there any way to add a "Blending Mode" like "Add" or "Screen" inside Supercomp?
I didn't find anything about this and I started pre-composing my shadow passes on my background, so that it's just 1 layer in supercomp. Would be awesome to have those seperated in SC for better Color Control for all layers.
