Truck reverses to escape mountainside landslide collapse in southern China

A dramatic landslide hit southern China, bringing a cascade of mountain rocks crashing down and resulting in a complete halt to road traffic. #landslide #mudslide #china #shorts

The video was filmed in Chongzhou City in Sichuan Province on September 27. Fortunately, no casualties or vehicle damages have been reported.

Authorities quickly responded, enacting temporary traffic restrictions in line with relevant regulations, barring all vehicular traffic from the area.

I wouldn't recommend walking back toward the slide even after it seems like it's over... the road nearby may be damaged and prone to collapse as well.

Until you've seen it, heard it, and felt it first hand, you have no clue the power behind the earth moving like that. I was hiking in the Grand Canyon and there was a small rockfall, estimated at only 20-30 tons, that happened about 100 meters in front of me. I'm a pretty fast person but let me tell you, those little rocks the size of a semi truck went from 1000 ft above me to the ground before I could take 3 steps.
