Baby found crawling by a highway after his brother was found dead, his mother was arrested

A Louisiana sheriff says a 1-year-old “miracle baby” survived two days of sometimes stormy weather before a truck driver spotted him crawling along a roadside the day after his 4-year-old brother was found dead and his mother was arrested in Mississippi.

What is happening to us as a species? Sheriff is in tears over babies killed or left on the roadside because all he can do is pick up the pieces and catch the monster.

Thank God the 1 year old survived, but my heart still breaks for the four year old that didn't make it. May he RIP. Why would any parent desert their child/ren in the middle of nowhere? If you don't want your kids, take them to a local hospital, police department, or fire station. Give them a chance to survive, at the very least. I hope they charge the mother of these children with 1st degree murder over the death of her older child if she intentionally deserted them. Since the mother has been arrested, I assume this was the case.

I can't imagine coming up on an abandoned baby or murdered baby or child. May this driver be blessed Lord and have the strength to deal with it. I get upset over an abandoned animal. Humans are losing their souls.

I am happy to see this officer has humanity, when his voice started breaking telling the story made me cry . Thank you to him all like him. Plus the truck driver for saving the baby . Very sad

Trust me, if she had shown up at a hospital, ANY hospital, or even a convenience store, and left her kids there, they would have been taken in and cared for.

I have no words to express how heartbreaking this story is. What a Blessing the baby survived and a trucker was observant enough to see the baby crawling. We will never know how that baby survived alone for 2 days without water or food. I say he is one of Gods Miracles and his Guardian Angel stood guard.
