Thursday: Scattered showers and storms will return tomorrow, mainly in the afternoon and evening. A mix of sunshine and clouds will allow for a warmer day with highs in the low-mid 80s, making it a more "normal" day for late May.
Rain and storms will become likely during the late evening and overnight hours. Some strong-to-severe storms will be possible in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Heavy rain at times may cause an isolated flooding risk.
Friday: Storms arrive early
Timing out another round of showers and storms on Friday. This round of severe weather is set to occur late morning into the afternoon hours. Right now, the primary risk looks to be gusty winds in excess of 60 mph for areas east of I-77. The risk is slightly elevated for areas near the Sandhills.
