We have American brothers and sisters who are in real hurt right now because of Helene. Towns were washed away, everyone has seen the pictures. This longshoremen's strike is at the worst time, because now supplies that are needed now, are going to be hung up for an indefinite length of time. I don't know why most channels can't talk about these two events in the same breath, but they do prattle how it will raise prices and hurt christmas retail sales. It seems like a conscientious effort to ignore states that they deem 'red', like Florida, Tennesssee, and the others, to make them hurt. The American way would be to somehow get those supplies off the ships into the areas down south that need them real bad. If thank means cancelling the strike for a while, so be it. But the Biden administration says it will not interfere, even while Americans are suffering, but there goes another 8 or 10 billion dollars to Ukraine. Our government has lost it's way and no longer care for the People.

We shouldn't villianize the people striking. It's the port and shipping company owners' greed that should be villianized.

Just pay the workers… if you’re losing 5 billion a day … this should be a no brainer. Surely a worker raise won’t cost 5 billion a day… nothing but greed. This is on the companies… not the union.
