For us, working from home is nothing new. We usually work remotely and several of us have traveled the world as Digital Nomads on trips that have lasted years—carrying everything we need to work full-time jobs while on the go. Plus, at the time of posting, our whole team is working from home (as are many of you).

So, what we’re trying to say is, we have a ton of experience with the challenges of working from home, working remotely, and working with a team that’s in different places and different time zones.

Over the years, we’ve learned a thing or two. And, in this post, we’re going to cover ten tips that we find useful to turn those WFH challenges into advantages.

We hope that these tips will help you navigate through the challenges of working from home, learn how to be more productive while working remotely., and allow you to enjoy the freedom and flexibility it can provide. Now, break’s over—get back to work!

GREAT CONTENT!! Let me just share to these quotes that I like, "Focus on being productive instead of busy." -Tim Ferriss and "Sometimes, things may not go your way, but the effort should be there every single night."

Great tips. Thanks! I think the bit about having a routine is important as you are starting your day off in a good trajectory. A tip I have is to (if possible), segregate your work and your play area. Try not to use your sofa or bed to work from home, and have a dedicated spot where you work. This is a signal to your brain to focus and this is a place to work. But of course, this is not possible for everyone.

after missing lunch and forgot off-work time for 2 days I've also had to set up 2 alarm on my phone, one for lunch break, another one for end-of-business-day.

Hello, congratulations on the content. I'm from Brazil and I really like your channel and website!

As for working at home ... I confess that I work hard to maintain a business routine in my office, which is located in a private room in the house. But I have a 4 year old son who is discovering the world now and in this pandemic moment I am his best companion for games and diversions.
I try to explain to him sometimes, that I am working ... But a 4 year old child thinks that work is like the cartoon "The Boss Baby".
With that I try to get on with my life, but I do it at night!

Once again congratulations on the channel !!!

Great tips, especially the need for Ethernet wired connection and making sure all video conferencing apps are installed. I to learn that clients use different apps so have them all installed. Very informative as here in U.K. there will be more WFH due to government advice

In my country, it’s the other way round... instead of team members needing the manager’s help, it is the manager needing multiple team members’ help.

Very nice the muisc on Youtube suggested, but what do you think about creating a PackHacker channel on Spotify with music for studying or working at home? For example, when I was in my company office (now, of course, I'm working from home due to COVID-19) in a big open space with a lot of noise, I was listening White Noise playlists on Spotify to isolate me.

Any chance you could share some of your playlists for working from home? Thanks!

Seeing all the small screen laptops in use for working on I have a question.

I took an 8" Windows 10 tablet on holiday. I loaded up digital versions of the Lonely Planet Guide for Android (phone) and Windows. I found it impossible to absorb the information I was trying to read and it became very frustrating.

Back home I did find better e-readers for both devices which improved searching and paging through but still find reading zoned me out; so I do not know what I just read.

On my desktop 24" screen and full size keyboard and mouse I have no issue with reading text and the guides for hours at a time.

The small 8" screen is 1920x1200 and uses x2 fonts. The 24" screen is also 1920x1200 so text is bigger and more shown. The laptop is 12" but 3840x2160 and so text is small and is also difficult to absorb some material I am reseachingl but not all.

I also use reading glasses on the smaller screen that I do not require for the desktop set up.

I guess the choice is to get a printed book and not use a device. Still I am puzzled by the difference in experience.
