Can the sacrifice of Christ cover all sins if there are variations between them?

Brave girl for getting up there with an obvious speech or hearing issue and asking those questions. Proud of her

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit seems particularly serious. Jesus said, "but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin." Mark 3:29 & Luke 12:10

This is a common misconception. All sin is missing the mark and punishable but not all sin is the same.
1 John 5:17
All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.

So while all wrong doing is sin it’s not all equal sin. That’s like saying all rain is water but not all water is rain. Christ’s death covered all sins. So we don’t need different levels of forgiveness. We just take the blanket covering of Christ’s Blood.

Very good question, I don't feel like it was answered though. I always thought blasphemy against the Holy Spirit was unforgivable, but that doesn't seem to be right. I think she was essentially asking if we kill someone, do we get a different type of torture in hell vs lying.

ALL SINS ARE NOT THE SAME. This is obvious from SCRIPTURE eg. John 19:11, Luke 12:47, 48, Matthew 11:22, Matthew 23:23. All sin separates us from our perfect God, but the degree of punishment is not identical for all sins. Eg. Torturing someone to death VS swearing at someone.

All sins require punishment by death. So her question is legitimate and her line of thinking logical. When we recall that God allowed eating a single piece of fruit to separate man from Him, we can see that the sin is never about just the sin. But, God's earthly punishments differ according to the worldly severity. Adam and Eve were physically banished from eden (worldy) and eventually died from that sin being committed.

Sin always says: God, I don't trust you. I'll do it my way because I don't trust you. The disbelief is the broken covenant. He did nothing to deserve disbelief.

Later we see God cause the earth to completely swallow Korah and his family and followers into the earth for their dissension and disrespect of God's law...a God with whom they had personally WITNESSED so many physical experiences. So Korah's sin of disbelief was so severe (because he had seen the hand of God in MANY MIRACLES) that God ended his entire family and followers.

God administers different worldly punishments on different sins, but all result in the death of Jesus on a Cross, which yielded His redemptive resurrection. Obviously God uniquely punishes us (or allows us to reap the consequences of our sin) in a worldly sense, while always ending our lives in death. It speaks volumes of His Holiness and PERSONAL involvement with us.

Many people who like to indulge in certain sins like to imagine that they are all really the same.

what happens to a Christian who sins AFTER salvation any of the sins mentioned in these lists, Mark 7:21-23; Rom. 1:18-32; 1 Cor. 6:9, 10: Gal. 5:19-21; 1 Tim. 1:9, 10; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; Rev. 21:8 does he remain saved or he must repent and abandon them before he dies?

I do kind of agree with her. All sin is abhorrent to God and all sin separates us from God. So in that sense all sin is the same in God's eyes. Whether you are a liar or as a murderer, if you accept Jesus as your saviour and confess your sins, then you are forgiven and you will spend eternity in paradise. But I'd you are either of those and you reject Jesus, then you will spend eternity apart from God.

How sad it is to listen people questions about the Scripture, sin, , seeing in sinful people lack of humility which does not allow them to see the truth which God gave us.
Humiliate people before God, confess your foolishness, rebelion against Him and He will open your eyes to understand His plans for human kind. Amen

All sin, 'great, ' 'medium, ' ' indeterminate' and 'small' lead to death, physical and spiritual (Romans 6:23). In that regard they are all equal before God. But different types of sin can have different other consequences.

Many of us think in terms of saved or unsaved and there is nothing else. If there is only two options then it makes no sense to talk about varying degrees of sins. It's when you start considering the nature of the Christian life that it begins to make sense.

Not every sin is the same, because there’s different kinds of sin. On Earth, sin is treated differently because there are different consequences for different things. That doesn’t change what God says about sin at all; even if there’s different kinds of sin, God treats all sin the same in that you go to Hell.

It is also written, that truly i tell you if you are even angry with another person, you have committed murder, or if you even look with lust, you have committed adultery? And he who breaks 1 law has broken them all?

She did a bad job explaining her position, Frank did a bad job explaining why there’s a hierarchy of rewards and sins. This was a rough video😂😂

Great answer. Why can't she understand it? The love of God in Jesus Christ is infinite. Not only that, but the level of punishment is determined by the severity of the sins weighed against the person's amount of access to truth. The Bible says that the darkest places in hell are reserved for those that knew the gospel but rejected it and used and twisted the scriptures to lead people into sin. Jesus also said it would be worse than Sodom for the cities that he preached in but that refused to repent. The only way to escape the punishment of Hell for your sins is to turn from your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. People who love their sins refuse to repent, and they spend eternity in hell for their sins.

Jesus death covers the sins of his people, not every persons sin who has ever lived.
