There are thousands of years of human history, but we spend less than two decades of our lives in education. That isn't enough time to condense down everything you need to know into history classes - especially when there are other subjects to be taught when we're at school! Sadly, that means that some really interesting information gets left out. We're going to fix that in this video - here are some of the historical facts your teachers never got around to telling you!

It's totally wonderful that Elizabeth Windsor as a teenager in the army could strip down a truck engine and put it back together again that's a really useful skill ---/good on her🎉

Regarding Queen Elizabeth: the final test for the mechanics course was to completely strip down and rebuild a jeep engine in a certain amount of time. During the exam, her parents King George VI and Queen (later Queen Mother) Elizabeth toured the facility. Of course, they couldn't acknowledge each other. When the exam was over, all the engines started up, except one. Elizabeth's. Turns out her father had walked off with the distributor cap...

I would simply caution the viewers that history is reported by the winners!!! It is quite unfortunate that we haven't overcome that and all of our Generations.

Well the last one was definitely a surprise and something new to me. I always thought the royal family quite useless and a total waste of money. If this is true about the queen well I am impressed.

If anyone believes that part about the queen tearing down an engine all by herself and putting it back together etc etc....I’ve got a bridge for sale. Real cheap. Built by the queen!

As a trained mechanic myself, I think I can give the lie to the story about Queen Elizabeth being able to strip and reassemble an engine with only a few months of training. I doubt she would have even grasped the fundamentals of how it works.
