Q: How is it that virtually everything in Canada is more expensive than in the US, yet Canada can produce steel cheaper so as to export? A: Government subsidies. Aluminum is a different story, but steel is being dumped on the US by Canada.

How does one prepare for Donald Trump? One day he will say one thing, the next day he denies ever saying it, then he is on to something else. The Conservatives don't care about Canadians, they only care about the next election and how bad they can make the government look. 90% of their questions are a rediculous waste of time. You want to show Canadians you can lead stop the disgusting politics and help with the actual work.

Nothing personal guys.
We have to protect and defend our own workers now. I wish Canada had gotten the same permanent exemptions as Australia and South Korea but Mexico refused to budge and made a mockery of the entire thing.
I think with additional pressure either Mexico will have to give in or NAFTA will be scrapped altogether.

Massive mis-calculation by Canada on this. US industries are the buyers of all the steel and they will not contract with Canadian companies with a threat of price volatility in a core resource. You are going to lose the steel jobs and the manufacuring jobs that use it as well.
