In the comics, Angel and Nightcrawler descend from races of angel-like and demon-like mutants respectively, who have been enemies for ages so seeing them fighting here is kinda ironic.

So… why didn't Nightcrawler just teleport out of the cage? Not 'porting out of the box I understand, he has to be careful to know where he's teleporting. But… he can clearly SEE outside of the cage.
