This makes me think of my friend. In high school he dated a girl who was far left but he didn’t really have a stance yet. Later his senior year he ended up becoming conservative, which caused her to break up with him as she couldn’t believe he would “believe in that stuff” A year later he dated another girl who was also liberal & when they broke up she told me she was so disappointed in him for his political views. He is now dating another girl who is liberal & she went crying to her friends because he wasn’t liberal.

Truthfully, a lot of relationship issues come from the man not being truly masculine. Not leading, not putting family first. Nothing wrong with being a man and owning up to your own beliefs. What an intelligent sounding man, well done!

Very much agree with Kick ! You better talk about your political standing with a person BEFORE getting into relationship, for house divided in itself Not gonna stand . You have to be with like-minded person otherwise it's gonna be constant aggravation.

It wasn't something that was ever discussed early in our marriage but my wife has become more and more liberal over the years. And that's why it's hard to like her anymore

I dated a white liberal woman once. I wanted to see if it was possible to date liberal women, due to me being latino, she assumed I was democrat and hated Trump. While I never said I was republican, I have mentioned Trump in a positive tone, in which she would assume I was joking, and warn me that I was offending her family. She finally accepted that I was republican and was really shocked that I, a latino, would *not* view Trump in the negative light. We had a conversation on why she hated Trump and why I loved Trump.. It wasnt really anything special, just "Trump hate latinos because he wants to build a wall" and "I love the wall and I hate illegal immigrants"

I believe a Conservative can date a liberal depending on how far each way they are. Far right and far left for get about it. But if they're both barely on each side then yeah. Like My mom is liberal and my dad is conservative and they've been married for decades. It's possible. To be honest if you're the type of person who would give up on someone else because they disagree with you politically then you should not be aloud to be in a relationship period. Getting dumped hurts. Especially if it's because of your political stance. I know it happened to me in August. However I would never date a psycho Feminist I would rather die by getting Hit by a bullet train, but I would never start a relationship with them. Let me tell you this. If you know you are insecure about your opinions to the point you would give up on someone because they have a different opinion then don't date anyone until you can figure that out period.
