Shocking Mormon Fraud

Joseph Smith, the founder and prophet of Mormonism, literally made up a prophecy about himself and ADDED it to the end of Genesis, pretending that God gave him a supernatural ability to translate stuff that was never written in the first place. It's bad. It's really bad.

Dear Mormon, please look into this with a straight face and be rescued from the deceptions of Joseph Smith. You're his victims.

Muhammad basically did the same thing in Surah 61.6 to have Jesus prophesy about his coming

When your religion doesn't even use the religious texts that the founder created, that's usually not a good sign of its authenticity

Edit: these replies lel FLAME WAR FLAME WAR FLAME WAR

I grew up in this church. JST is added to the footnotes of the King James Version of the Bible. I had heard it wasn’t incorporated because of the copyright went with another church group that separated after Joseph Smith’s death. However, I haven’t confirmed that. Just remembered it’s also in the back in additional area along with a Bible dictionary.

Members do read the King James Bible and memorize verses of it but a lot of time goes to other books like the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants. Many members do read the entire Old Testament and New Testament.

Somehow I missed some things . Such as grace. I was taught grace after all you can do. So I always felt that I wasn’t good enough no matter how hard I tried.

Now I spend my time reading the Bible. I’ve seen many things that I missed. I pray and ask God to help to correct my understanding. The book of Romans, 1st John, and time with God have been changing my understanding of Grace. I used to think Grace only was too easy to be true. Jesus our savior is more loving and forgiving than I could imagine.

I’m grateful Jesus did what He did and wants to save us. If we accept Him as our Lord and Savior choose to follow Him sincerely then He gives us peace, forgiveness, love, strength, a change of heart and help.

"Whoever adds to the words of this Book I will add to him the curses and plagues listed in this Book and whoever takes away from this Book I will take away his name from the Book of Life.". Way to think it through

You know that Satan can disguise himself to be what we think an angel is? Connect the dots...

How can those people not see that? Jesus even said, Beware of false prophets coming in sheeps clothing

All of the “false Christian” religions do this. I grew up SDA, and if Ellen White’s books said something that didn’t line up with the Bible, her book would always supersede the Word of God. I’m glad I’m free!

The JST is in my wife’s quad. You are correct, anytime I bring up scripture her family disagrees with they say “if it’s translated correctly” That’s the default LDS answer. I asked what do they mean by that? I pressed for manuscript evidence to support the JST and crickets. I pray the Holy Spirit opens their eyes, but they have greatly underestimated the devil and his lies.

My parents joined the LDS church when I was 8 and that's what I was baptized. We were very poor though and the church was 30 miles away. When we couldn't make the trip, I would go to the local Baptist church. At first I didn't think much of the differences, but I started to question things when I was in middle school. I went to my first Book of Mormom sleepover, which is where a group of church youth stay up all night to read the Book of Mormon aloud. I remember asking, "will we have a Bible sleepover also?" The youth leader looked at me like a deer in the headlights and simply said, "No, " and moved on as quickly as possible. That just made me question it even more... So many things just didn't seem right to me, and it was all downhill from there!

Slight correction: they do print it, but it's tucked in the back between the books of your quad so you don't see it unless you know it's there and you're looking for it. My dad always told me that if something seemed "off" in the Bible, I should check the JST. That was step one of me realizing the LDS church was a fraud. The more I read the Bible compared to Joseph's version, the more I realized they could not coexist.

One time when a Mormon added me on Facebook, we organized a time to video call and talk about the gospel. Without telling me first, he had his disciple join him. That was good for me, because he got to hear the truth too. Simple facts about how the Bible was transmitted, and about how Joseph Smith supposedly got his revelation, began to show them the deceptiveness of Mormonism.

The tomb of Jesus is empty. I'm quite sure the tomb of Joseph Smith is full

The manipulation of Romans in the JST is incredibly subtle. He manages to change a few verses here and there and thus flip the entire argument of the letter on its head.
