I played both tof and genshin and I still enjoying both. When I want to have some casual mini games, story or just chilling I play genshin and when I want to play some combat or have some packed action game, I play tof. Both are fun for me in their own ways.

The reason why I stopped playing TOF is I was just doing story quest after story quest and I couldn't retain anything the game was trying to tell me. After like 10 hours I couldn't tell you the plot or what I was currently trying to do in the story. And I just got super bored.

As a genshin player, playing ToF feels like below standard

I play both games and I enjoy both. Genshin.. It's dry for me bring a high AR and able to clear abyss pretty much... I come back for the story ehivjbis one vof the selling points.

TOF was and still is a joyful experience. There's a lot to do. The story got better cuz Vera Confounding Abyss. It's more combat focused which I love. And the fact that the Co op element is emphasized asw cuz u need to Co op for world bosses no matter how strong u r. The only issue is the bugs (which have reduced a lot compared to release month)

Both games have their selling points and vu wish both aspects were combined.. And both games at one point, collaborate and learn from each other

After playing ToF, coming back to genshin made me sad. i loved how fast the action was and how fast the movement is. I wish we could just take the best bits of both games and put them into one.

Tbh the main reason why I'm having way more fun in ToF than Genshin rn, is the community in the server I'm in right now in ToF. On top of that, my crew(clan/guild) is so helpful, kind and dedicated that it rubs off on me in a positive way that reflects greatly on my ToF experience. It's not the story, characters or region that got me hooked, its the peeps I play with.

My biggest issue is that it feels like too much of slog to continue to build my weapons up in ToF to keep pace with my level. Adding to that they make it hard to build for multiple elements without falling behind. I tried to get back into it a few weeks ago but it seems like if you don’t do the multiplayer endgame stuff at reset theres no shot you’ll be able to do it on the weekend. I also feel like my progress isn’t very rewarding personally so even logging in every day to burn stamina ends up feeling like a chore.

Frankly... Ever since I started to play ToF all I've ever had was a joyful experience. Granted, the game is not a "Genshin" because they haven't made as much revenue. Though, there are so many things in ToF I would die for in Genshin. So much so that every time I log into Genshin I feel locked behind so many archaic systems that sadden my heart.

Btw pls dont compare Story from eachgame to decide on the quality of ToF, tof never was meant to be a big story game like genshin its more focused on co op/guild activity/combat

It's not Genshin level, but it's certainly not dead. Revenue went up this month compared to last month. With the same logic most games would be dead.

But nothing surprising here Mtashed/Stix is just one of those YouTubers that live of drama. He does that with every game.

we'll have another dozen of "ToF is dead" content in the next year. 😂

I play Tower of Fantasy everyday but I think I'm not included in that graph since I don't search it up at all, I just head straight to the interactive maps/wiki/reddit.

First thing that instantly killed the game in a blink was nerfs in global release in the name of balancing, and suddenly I said "let it die"

You see there are a few main problems with tower of fantasy.

1.) The story - even though its not a major factor for all of you pvp players. For people who crave lore in a game, especially since its an rpg based game the story just sucks. Even though you can create/design your own character the game treats them very poorly. "You" as a character in the game is too dull. Very emotionless and you are just treated as a side character half of the time. Like even if "You" werent there the story would be the same. Speaking of the devil, the story is too much of a mess. One scene you are in this region the next you are immedieatly in the other. Unlike genshin, it has a proper pace on how you go to different regions. Tower of fantasy doesnt. Speaking of dull characters, literally everyone in this game is dull. Even the "emotional" cutscenes are too robotic genshin atleast can make them more emotional. The story in tower of fantasy does not make sense as literally you are just thrown in. Yes I know elden ring exists. But that game has done it in a better way.

2.) Gameplay - This again isnt a major factor for pvp players especially die hard ones. But for me the game feels way too robotic. It clunkly as fuck it feels like you're playing a robot rpg game instead. Hmm? Its set in a futuristic apocalyptic world? Yes I know that, but you cant justify and make evey character there that clearly is human act robotic now. Look the gameplay mechanics are unique and i do like it. But the leveling system is just awful, it takes too long to clear a gamemode just to get an R rarity item. Just to get materials. Its too long for a game that has terrible rates.

3.) Graphics/compatibility - this one is not as major for all of you since I know that most of you are rich people with high end devices. But man the game is too laggy for me to play even with the lowest settings. It eats up so much ram and it easily heats up my device. Probably like after 30 minutes it'd start to lag even though its already in the lowest settings. Heck even if leave it afk it would lag. Plus the game has constant crashes.
The fact that people say that unreal engine is better than unity just makes me roll on the floor dying. The fact that my low end computer EVEN my phone cant run TOF but is able to run genshin is quite laughable. Even if I run TOF in an emulator that shit still wont run properly. Genshin with the lowest settings although are shit, is still able to run my computer.

Currently I play Nikke, ToF and Genshin regularly. But genshin has the least stuff to do.
I only log in to genshin for 10 minutes 2 times a day. That's all.
Nikke has been fire ngl and I'm liking ToF too.

Everytime I open Genshin it bothers me that I am the only person inside its world. It is a beautiful world but it feels so empty because there aren't any actual players. So I end opening it for only 5 minutes everytime. Until I gave up and I just sticked with TOF.

I liked the MMO aspect of TOF, the community, seeing people in the world with me, the Coop, Challenging World Boss Fights, Unlimited exploration, PVP, Guilds, the Combat.

I quit on genshin and switch to ToF ehehe i played GI for 2 years and makes me feel bored while playing. And then i found out this ToF hehe so much thrills in this game and more harder than Genshin. I still follow genshin story but my heart now belongs to ToF cuz i am really a competitive gamer, i want competition which i can show my skills, ToF gave me that feeling hehehe i reach rank3 in pvp eventho im just f2p and now we have BattleRoyale, makes me play more like crazy, also i love the Guild system ehee i really dont feel alone playing cuz we raid dungeons and bosses everyday.

Love both games but for now ill stay in ToF ehehe

Honestly I play both, and I play more ToF than Genshin but I look up 10 times more things on Genshin because I can't be bothered to spend any more time than I have to on testing, trial and error, puzzle solving in that game anymore. Besides that, in ToF there aren't as many questions about "How do I build this weapon" and "what matrix set is best in slot" when each weapon has its own specific set built for it. Everyone knows what they need to do, it's just a matter of getting those lucky rolls on armor pieces and their substats and such. The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head that I search relatively often is new character first impressions and things like that.
