Overrated cities and where to go instead 🟢🔴PART 3

Let me give you some more alternatives for cities that, in my opinion, are overrated! Some are worse than other though, I don’t ABSOLUTELY hate all of these places don’t worry 😁

As I said, it’s just an opinion, you’re free to disagree! Nothing wrong with that.

Berlin 🔴 - Belgrade 🟢
I have Belgrade as an alternative to Berlin because it has the best nightlife city in Europe in my opinion and in terms of architecture I find it resembling. It’s also much safer and more affordable. Berlin’s history is unrivalled though.

Athens 🔴 - Istanbul 🟢
I prefer Istanbul over Athens because it’s much cleaner. The trash problem in Athens was too overwhelming for me. In terms of historic sights you can’t beat Athens, but I enjoyed Istanbul much more because of how clean and safe it felt.

Stockholm 🔴 - Tallinn 🟢
Stockholm is one of my least favorite cities in Europe. I found it boring, expensive, and a bit unsafe as well. I would recommend everyone to go to Tallinn instead. Also on the Baltic sea and much friendlier to travelers in my opinion and way more beautiful!

Venice 🔴 - Trieste 🟢
Venice just suffers from extreme tourism. I hope the new limits on group tours will help, because the city is gorgeous. In the meantime I would advise you to go to Trieste!

Amsterdam 🔴 - Copenhagen 🟢
I’m Dutch so I have been to Amsterdam many many times. Every time I go there I hated it… Same problem as Venice, it’s simply too busy. Such a shame because it’s an open air museum! Copenhagen is much more chill and spacious. The city easily handles the crowds it attaches and it’s extremely safe!

Are you joking with Berlin VS Belgrade? I was in Berlin 3 times and it’s such a beautiful city and it definitely isn’t overrated, there’s just many tourists for obvious reason: it’s impressive!

Berlin/ Belgrade? FR? Venice overrated or overcrowded? There is no way that beautiful piece of history and art is overrated, and you choose Trieste over it. I mean, Trieste is nice but there's no comparison possible.

Stockholm is underrated, if anything. Not so many tourists, it's tidy, extremely beautiful and full of art and history

Dubrovnik = overrated

Being a Istanbuler I lived in Athens for a while, it was like living in a small neighbourhood in Istanbul. Boring and not much to give. Visit the ancient stuff, drink coffee in some cafes and return back 😂

Comparing Berlin to Belgrade is crazy.
As a German i think also Berlin is a little bit overrated, but only with the wall and it's history during WW2 it is a unique City in Europe

as a turk, istanbul isn’t underrated at all. also athens isn’t overrated too. i think they are perfectly rated
