After 11K kilometer with the Rally in Central Europe, I so far never had an issue with the bike. It is the touring machine with the highest price in Europe but you get what you pay for. Top notch parts where ever you look. In very thight corners on alpine passes, the bike has excellent low speed manuverability. High speed on German Autobahn also is no problem at all. Same applies for gravel roads. I am not doing the rough stuff with it. Good job, thank you Andrea and Ducati

I am a proud Ducati owner. I've owned two Ducati scrambler 803cc bikes, one Nightshift and one Cafe racer. I love my bikes, but I've had a really bad experience with Ducati Thailand.
About a month ago, I was riding my Nightshift bike when it suddenly did a tank-slapper and threw me off. I could have been killed. The bike was badly damaged, with scratches and dents all over it.
I took the bike to Ducati Thailand for repairs. They inspected the bike and quoted me a price of 300, 000 Baht to fix it. But I refused to pay for the repairs because I believe that the accident was caused by a defect in the bike.
I had three independent engineers and mechanics inspect the bike. They all agreed that the right front fork seal was badly assembled, causing an oil leak. The steering head block was also not properly assembled, and the wheels were misaligned. In addition, there were several colored dabs of paint on the bike, which indicated that repairs had been made to the bike before it was delivered to me.
The police forensics team also inspected the bike and agreed with the engineers and mechanics that the accident was caused by a defect in the bike. They concluded that the bike was not delivered in safe and usable condition, and that it had a problem with the front fork and steering head block from day one.
I've tried to contact Ducati Thailand to resolve this issue, but they have refused to acknowledge that the bike was defective. They have also refused to repair the bike or reimburse me for the cost of the repairs.
I'm really disappointed with the way that Ducati Thailand has handled this situation. I believe that they are putting the safety of their customers at risk by refusing to acknowledge that the bike was defective.
I'm also really disappointed with the way that Mr. Gino, the Head of Asia Pacific for Ducati, has handled this situation. He has been rude and dismissive, and he has hung up on me when I tried to discuss the issue with him. I'm not sure what else to do at this point. I'm considering taking legal action against Ducati, but I don't know if I can afford it.
I just want to warn other people about the dangers of buying a Ducati from Ducati Thailand. They don't seem to care about the safety of their customers, and they're not willing to take responsibility for their defective products.
If you're thinking about buying a Ducati, I would strongly advise you to buy it from a different dealership. And if you do have a problem with your bike, don't expect Ducati Thailand to help you. You're on your own

As an owner of a 2024 Multistrada V4 Rally I would warn anyone against thinking of the as a "Best bike". The chassis is great (really great). The engine is nice for agressive driving - not so for more relasex driving (as in adventure touring). After 1600km the engine sounds as if someone has poured gravel into it. It was ok from the beginning but has suffered from increasing noise from valves and/or timing chains. The Desmo Ducatis have always been noisy but the V4 has no desmo valves. You need earplugs when you drive this one. At 3500 rpm, the noise is so bad that you find yourself prepared to push the clutch in case of a seizure… Below 3000 rpm, the bike is practically un-driveable. Don’t bother to drive in slow traffic - even if you can bear the enormous amount of heat emitted from the engine. The quickshifter, that was supposed to be really smooth on these bikes, is really a hit and miss. It’s great when it works, but it rarely does. When the engine is warming up, it works ok. When warm…not so much. Less than 50% hit rare. But when it does work, it’s really smooth - at least the up-shifts. When it doesn’t, and you never know beforehand, the gears will bang in, leaving you wondering how much abuse the gearbox can take.

The dealerships (at least in Sweden) leaves a lot to wish for. Any problem I had, the response was that "a Ducati should be like that". The service person in my case, seemed to believe that the V4s have desmo valves and blamed the noise on that. That doesn’t give you much confidense. I got zero help with any problem with the bike. Clearly the warranty isn’t worth anything. But they charge crazy amounts for mainrenance (4000 Euro for 1000 km oil change).

Eventually I contacted Ducati support, as I got nowhere with the dealership. However, they showed little interest as well. They said I’d be contacted. They never got back after that (10 days ago now). Much earlier, I was contacted by Ducati Sweden, as the dealer relayed that I was unhappy. I told them about my problems, but they were mainly interested to ask questions about the dealership. I let them know what I was unhappy with, but it led to nothing.

This is the most expensive bike I have bought, but unfortunately also the worst bike experience.

Don’t make the misrake I made, believing that this is a GSA-competitive. This is nowhere near the BMW experience. It has a better chassis than the Bmw, and is really fun on twisty roads. It’s also better offroad. But that’s it. The Bmw’s engine is light years ahead in the adventure bike context. Bmw’s customer service isn’t always the best, but compared to Ducati’s, it’s golden.

Subject: Complaint about Ducati Thailand and Mr. Gino
Dear Ducati Customer Service, I am writing to complain about the poor customer service I have received from Ducati Thailand and Mr. Gino, the Head of Asia Pacific for Ducati. I am a proud owner of two Ducati scrambler 803cc bikes, one Nightshift and one Cafe racer. On March 8, 2023, my Nightshift bike, which had only 1000 kilometers on the odometer, suddenly experienced a tank-slapper and threw me off the bike. The bike was severely damaged, with scratches and dents on the side and the tank.

I took the bike to Ducati Thailand for repairs. The dealership inspected the bike and quoted me a price of 300, 000 Baht to repair the damage. However, I refused to pay for the repairs because I believe that the accident was caused by a defect in the bike. I had three independent engineers and mechanics inspect the bike. They all concluded that the right front fork seal was badly assembled, causing an oil leak.

I have tried to contact Ducati Thailand to resolve this issue, but they have refused to acknowledge that the bike was defective. They have also refused to repair the bike or reimburse me for the cost of the repairs. I am very disappointed with the way that Ducati Thailand has handled this situation. I believe that they are putting the safety of their customers at risk by refusing to acknowledge that the bike was defective.

I am also very disappointed with the way that Mr. Gino has handled this situation. He has been rude and dismissive, and he has hung up on me when I tried to discuss the issue with him.

I am requesting that Ducat do either or:
Reimburse me for the cost of the repairs to my bike.
Swap my defective bike for a safe one.
Conduct an investigation into the quality control procedures at Ducati Thailand.
Take steps to ensure that this does not happen to other customers.
If Ducati does not take these steps, I will be forced to take legal action.

a bigger engine around 150 hp in the Desert X concept it will be way better for a real adventure bike.
Dakar old bike consepts are still way more acceptable as ADV travelers.
Multistradas have more On Road oriented image. It won't hurt BMW sales.
A 1250 DesertX will reduce them way more.

Gentile Servizio Clienti Ducati,

Cordiali saluti,

Ajarn Spencer Littlewood
Orgoglioso Proprietario Ducati e Proprietario del canale "Ducati Reviews Thailand".
