Renaming files and removing spaces from filenames is critical for every user so that they can set a meaningful name of their files ….. This helps in more ways than we could ever imagine.
You can do this manually (which is an achievable, but a very dry and frustrating task),
Easy File Renamer provides a more simple and efficient way to remove empty spaces in the filenames.
Here is how it works:
* Download and install Easy File Renamer.
* Launch the software and click the Add Files icon to add files you want to rename. Choose files from as many places as possible.
* Next, you head to the Step 2 drop-down menu. Here you can either select the Remove Text rule to remove space or go for the Replace Text rule to replace spaces with anything you want. You can even choose to apply more than 1 rule at the same instance.
* In the case of the former rule, select the text-box labeled Text and simply hit the spacebar once (to denote the space). For the latter, you will have to type in the relevant info in the Find and Replace textboxes.
* Once the relevant rule(s) have been selected, click the Add Rule button located just underneath.
Good news is that you can preview the NEW FILE NAMES before actually applying the settings to files. You’re in full control of this operation………………………!
Click the Rename button on the bottom-right corner of the screen to set the renaming process into motion.
After renaming you can load your working set for further for move and copy operations by selecting the checkbox Load working set again. You can also use the Easy File Renamer to rename files on google drive, copy and move files in computers, and add/ edit mp3 and id3 music tags in your Windows PC.
