Thanks for video. Most people do this type of comparison in front of a backdrop or in an environment with some backlight behind (usually not in a real-life scenario). It's hard to imagine different situations. Yours is clean! Still an idea: I just wanted to see a side-by-side comparison at the end finalize my thoughts. It could be perfect video with it. How do you keep the highlights from blowing out on the 3W Practical light on the shelf? When I try similar things, my light is always in the red, in false color.

Nice video. I do want to note that you can use just about any soft box that is double diffused and get the same results of the parabolic used. Once you add the diffusion to the soft box, that now becomes your actual light source. So you can get a more shallow soft box and save space compared to the parabolic.
