G'day mate, thanks so much for the video, exactly what I'm looking for as a DIYer! Quick question, what is the purpose of the 30 degree bevel on the underside of the riser, and which way is the bevel facing?

Hey mate. I love your videos. You have helped me out a lot. I would love to see you form, strip and place your own concrete stairs. I think your form set up would be a little different to what you normally do. I’m interested in seeing what you come up with.

Keep up the good work.
Much love from nz

Very nice work. I appreciate your attention to detail and well thought out processes. Do you prefer to nail the packet and cleat from the side to the riser as in the video? Why not face nail the riser to the cleat? Seems like it would make for a cleaner face to not have the end of plys on the concrete. But it would offset the cleat from your layout, so perhaps not as convenient in that case. Curious of your thoughts. Thanks for sharing

Hi there mate! What kind of width would make a strongback necessary?

Thanks for the video, do stairs require rebar support?

I've yet to see you put any reo in your stairs. Is that being put in by the concreter? And if so how are they getting it in there with your form work in place.

Hey mate, sweet vid.. quick question... how do you know you're fixing your risers at the right height tho? Are you just lining the top of riser with the bottom of the stringer boards on your wall? And how do you know theyre at the right going distance apart?

Good luck stripping them
Always cut your risers in half, screw a nailer to hold each side

I’ve never seen it done this way? I’ve been a chippy for 40 years. Why don’t you just work out your rise and going then mark it out along the string, cut the string to suit the r&g then fix the inverted string to the walls and fix your risers to the cut outs on the string? Sorry mate.
