I'm trying to fix the side of my top set of steps leading to my front porch. Is there any way I can take a pic and send it to you so I can get a basic idea how to do it and what to buy?

Hi. Can build stairs over old sunken stairs? I need to bring everything up 10” so the old broken concrete stairs would be under… would save me the clean up if it stays under. Thanks

How did you know it was 12 before you divided the riser height into the length?

Your arbitrary reference to # 12 ("being a good number") is perplexing. There are lots of good numbers as you said. So please explain why you chose 12. If you did the exercise first and found that 12 was the most appropriate number you should start with, that's fine, just say so. If not, can you please send me next week's lottery draw numbers.

Why dig out to a flat surface vs stair stepping the soil? Your way seems to use nearly 2x the concrete than stair stepping the soil underneath the concrete stairs ???
