Since you also need a PS5 to play, another cable is already in your posession because it came with the Dualsense. No specific need for a charging cradle. Great to hear you're so positive, can't wait to try it out next week!

As someone who's only used the original psvr for vr, I feel like I won't notice any of the negatives. Obviously the more I look for them the more I'll find, but I'll try not and search for them.

Don't order a stand either people the internal box it comes in is perfect for storage and will help stop dust build etc on lenses.

7:50 - While it is dumb that there's only one packed in cable, the second cable was included with PS5. Also, a USB-C cable costs next to nothing. If you have an android phone you already have at least 1 charger and cable for PSVR2 controllers.
Plus, you can buy cables and a decent universal USB charger for less than the price of PSVR2 charging dock. That dock is convenient and nice to have but it's absolutely not a "must have".

Ghosting and tracking subpar to quest makes me a little sad and concerned but I'm still excited

You dont need a second cable for charging, the PS5 included a Dualsense charge cable that works with the PSVR2 Sense controllers, so there is no point to include a third cable. USB-C cables are also quite cheap if u need a replacement.

My advice regarding the controller tracking issues would be to add much more light to your play area (you could even use infrared lights). Hopefully sony will also continue to improve the controller firmware and tracking algorithms

The single cable "mystery" is solved when you ask yourself, did the ps5 ALSO come with a cable? Oh it did....so you DO have two cables.

Also I'm still super excited for psvr2, I knew it wouldn't be perfect but no matter what, it's a huge jump up from psvr1 and anything software related can be updated to improve.

tracking out the gate for quest/rift-s wasnt perfect, hopefully sony can patch in improvements like oculus did

Oh my god. I hate that ghosting/double-image reprojection artifact. Did you ever notice it on PS VR1 though? If you didn't, that makes me wonder if it's more pronounced on PS VR2 games (that run only at native 60 FPS). On PS VR1 it would give me headaches followed by nausea on low native frame rate games. But I was fine on the likes of Track Mania Turbo and Polybius which ran at native 120 FPS. If triple-A PS VR2 games suffer from this, and if snap turning doesn't sufficiently limit exposure to it, I'll wait for PS5 PRO or PS6 patched VR games. My PS VR1 was essentially useless to me, bar a few games because of this, and I had bought a boat load of titles during the time I didn't know what was causing the problem.

How would you compare the screen door effect to quest 2? That’s the highest resolution headset I’ve used and hearing psvr2 has screen door effect really disappoints me

Great job GT! I'm glad you're really happy with the headset. It's a shame it still has some downsides, but I was never expecting it to be perfect. The battery life is the most disappointing thing imo, and even that won't be an issue most times I play it. I just fondly remember playing Skyrim VR for 8 hours straight and was hoping I'd get to do something similar on occasion on the new headset.

Oh and I'm pretty sure it only comes with one USB-c cable because the PS5 also comes with one for the Dualsense. Anyway, great video!
