The title for this video was very suggestive

His role in Eyes Wide shut was so short, yet great.  Although his acting in Titus was epic.

His part in EWS was hilarious. That movie has some genuinely funny moments in it most people totally missed.

Standing up to Kubrick the first time you meet him? That's just being professional, so bravo, Mr. Cumming!

That sequence is a "masterclass" in the craft of film upstaging.

Off topic: this man's style is very elegant and awesome. I hope to look like that when I reach his age.

Alan Cumming reminds me of the actor who played Reverend Runt in Barry Lyndon.

Mr. Cumming steals every second of that scene.

Ive seen this twice today. Both times by chance. Wow says a lot of the power a dead man can still have. Kubrick will never be topped. I honestly do not know any director who is as dimensional with his storytelling and 4th wall breaking on the audience that strikes deep chords with all.

What people don't get is that Stanley was intentionally giving Alan an indirect compliment about his acting skills; the idea that if he compliments Alan indirectly it subconsciously validates Alans video performance while testing his ability to extrapolate on the absurdity of the compliment. What do I mean? There's a 0% chance Stanley didn't know Alan was Scottish after 7 or 8 tapes, and he wanted to see if Alan was aware of this clerical improbability. It was a test and compliment delivered in a clandestine fashion.

Alan Cumming is such a powerful and wonderful actor to store away beside Dustin Hoffman
