House centipedes need not give you a fright,

Just let them do their thing, which is to eat bugs

They can run fast, like a track and field star
But harmless to humans, house centipedes are
They won't damage your house. They do not eat wood
House centipedes do our lives a lot of good

They eat all the bugs you don't want in your home
In damp areas, like basements, they prefer to roam
Let house centipedes live. Never squish them with a shoe

Song gives me appreciation of Janisim, they respect all life, sweeping I front of them or before construction so as not to purposely injure or kill insects.

My mom taught me to love and respect scutigera coleoptrata, so I always have. I'm grateful to my mom for teaching me not to participate in the needless killing of living things, especially when they provide such a useful service! She calls them "basement creatures" and i've been inclined to do the same.

Great song! Really enjoyable! The moths ruining clothes is very human-centric though. After all they are eating wool that belongs to sheep, not our human clothes. Just being picky pick though. I seriously love this song! Even though they do freak me out with their many long legs. I can have fears but still appreciate them and let them do their things.
