In this short video, I go over the best armors in ARK. Flak is cheap and has high armor and durability, but riot has better stats in both those plus a torpor reduction. However, Riot gear is expensive. Tek has a lot of capabilities, but it is usually low armor and low durability.

riot is bad because it takes 2 times the projectile damage so if you get shot by turrets or a fabby it will take 2x the damage and you can get blueprints for tek armor that have around 2000 dura so its the best

I mostly use ghillie. Massively cuts down on wild aggro and isn't terribly expensive to repair. Also great for heat and adequate for most cold

since im playing on a singleplayer world with friends, it would probably be riot for me. and that we dont feel like defeating a boss yet

I usually wear tek for getting around, but carry a good flak set on me, or my jerboa to put on when i know shits about to go down

For tanking just flak
For PvP flak and tek chestpiece
For Base Defense flak or full tek
For PvP with more than 3 persons, just use the armor u need for the rol u gonna do, if u snipe tek chest and, if u gonna giga or wyvern normal flak, if u gonna shadow same

I’ve been grinding on the same server on ark for about two years now and I have a tech chest plate that is almost at 400 durability

I wear Tek when i want to feel like a greek god but i always keep a spare set of flak or riot just in case it breaks while im not near my tek replicator

Bro i got a tek chestpiece with 700 armour and 1000 durability, but it costs me to craft 2k black pearls, 700 ele, 16k metal and 6k crystals 💀. But the full kit needs more resources than my entire base to craft haha, but when you have it on you’re literally immortal. I’m in official

Ascendant Flak with 900+ armor is my go to choice

Riot has one use. Sitting in your vault until a bossfight. And maybe not even then will it see use. Hell, just chuck it in an industrial grinder 😂

Flak because riot has slightly more protection but same dura and is way more annoying to craft and that extra armour does nothing when you’re overheating taking a lot of damage

I’ve actually never seen anyone wear riot gear since 2017. Even back then people only wore it to flex lmao.

i just use tek for pve to get around faster and and a good flak set for pvp
