With how many different armor sets there are in Tears of the kingdom. Everyone's thought, “Hmm what’s the best armor in the entire game?” “I really wish someone would rank them using an arbitrary point system.” Well fear not as I have ranked all of the armor sets, using an arbratrary point system

If anything, I think the Hylian set should get a slight boost due to how easy the upgrade requirements for it are. It lacks any stats because it's meant to be an early game set that scales into the later game more easily, but less effectively than other armor sets.

Actually, the Hylian set is the only set with 200 style points.

The Zonite set actually has 144 points regarding the fact the helmet increases Mineru's base damage by 13 points aside from giving her a neat little headdress. Watch @Croton video on the sages for info.

Two categories I'd add are "Ease of upgrade" and "ease of collection"

Some armor sets require you to go out of your way to collect certain materials in order to upgrade them, whereas others (like the Hylian set) can be pretty much upgraded by just playing the game normally, making it likely the first set you fully upgrade. Similarly, it's available right at the start of the game, so if you beeline the Great Fairy Quests, you can keep it leveled up until late-game enemies are practically everywhere.

Other armor sets are found scattered throughout Hyrule, so unless you know exactly where they are, you may not even get the full set for a very long time. Most of them also require upgrade materials that are confined to one area of the map, meaning if you want to upgrade them, you'll have to go out of your way to collect items.

in both botw and totk, the stealth set is my go-to. looks cool, sneak up on enemies, and fairly easy to upgrade. plus speed bonus at night

I like how the fierce deity armor set looks, the attack-up bonus, and the easy-to-get-in early game!

it’s the zora set for me. not only does link looks very handsome in it, it got a great colour theme of blue and silver, not to mention the sentimental value to it (mipha i have not forgotten youuuu!!!) ❤

i feel like the gerudo set is one of the best looking sets, and i also like the fact that the hylian set is easy to obtain, cheap, and easy to upgrade.

My favorite set is probably the hylian set but instead of the hylian tunic i use the champions tunic because i like to just play the game like lore accurate link.

I love the Fiece Deity set since it looks cool while also having a great set and attack up bonus.

The Barbarian set is my favourite. Easy to get in totk, attack up, and killing lynels isn't any harder than killing a bokoblin for me when I'm gathering the parts to upgrade.

I use the Twilight set purely based on looks but it does come with a nice set bonus too. The Fierce Deity and Mystic sets are pretty cool too though!

I find that its a bit hard for me to choose, I like the hylian set, its simple and stylish and will get you pretty far. The glider set looks good with the hylian hood if you put the hood down. I guess I kind of like the sets that make Link look like a Ranger type character. The fierce diety set is also just so cool.

In my opinion, the mystic set is my personal least favorite, you lose SO. MANY. RUPEES. Literally the only way you can wear this armor set is if you did the duplication glitch when the game first came out. So for newer players they’re probably gonna lose most if not all of their rupees very quickly by wearing it. You also lose hearts too even when you have rupees, you also can’t upgrade it, I would wear this set more often since it looks so cool. But you just lose way to many rupees by wearing it.

I think my second favorite set is the glide set... Fun fact, if you fly around on a vehicle with your Zonai set and your battery kicks out and you are going to crash... You can just swap to the glide set and take the hit inside the vehicle not to lose it instead of bailing out... Also, someone above mentioned the mineru effect of Zonai, i believe i hear that is also on the champions spirit too, you can check her headshape while equipped to confirm.

Personally, I like the glide set the most because I'm skydiving everywhere, and negating fall damage while much in theory made completely irrelevant by the paraglider, a. Is cooler, and b. Is really useful for no paraglider runs, not to mention there is the added skydiving mobility

I don't have a favorite set, but instead combine armor.
The level 4 Champions Leathers, the level 4 Soldiers Greaves, and the level 4 Diamond Circlet combined are better than most of these sets due to the defense provided and the full attack bonus given by the Diamond Circlet.

The Hylian set is the actual best set, because it is so easy to obtain and upgrade. In real gameplay, you will play in this set for 90% of your playtime.

I will always love the Barbarian set for its power and style, and it was actually the first set I fully upgraded in Botw.
