Thanks for the video :) It really helped me understand sandwiches more. Dropped a like before I even started watching it.

Do you know how stairs work for husks? The seem more willing to take a complex route if stairs are invovled. For example i got some to follow a 4 'block' u shaped corridor, with a u stair and another U shaped 4 corridor on top, when such distance would normally make them go through a wall. Do they path easier vertically?

It's a good idea... But husk spawns change frequently mid-match in Canny Valley. I can imagine that the sandwich walls would work on a large cliff edge that covers one of the sides from your base, but I find it's better to have a fully upgraded pyramid with sandwich walls inside, as well as traps which launch them (floor launchers with a ramp above, wall launchers and/or a mix of wall lights).

Also having sandwich walls, without the ramp and with smaller walls, allows you to thin out the hordes hitting the barriers. Seems to make it more efficient if you're looking to save a bit of resources by getting rid of the ramp in the sandwich walls, especially if it's intended to direct the Husks (you can track them and pick off the ones you mentioned which attack the walls). Snipers are efficient against husky husks, hence why this variation is more efficient at higher levels.

One last thing... funneling. At Canny and onwards, funneling can work depending on the terrain. If placed right, you can funnel the waves (let's take East as an example) even if they change position in the Eastern area from your fort. Most times though, your funnels will A) Hinder your sight of where they're travelling to, and B) will just end up being another way to direct husks and will result in wasted traps. I feel like it's safer to just reinforce from the core, make sure it's upgraded and defendable from most sides then focus on directing husks and funneling them.

I place the floor tiles the other way with the to vertical facing me. And it still works like a charm, the mobs will avoid them if they can see a hole(tunnel of death) :)

Great Stuff. Heard about you from my buddy Clint from Geekdig. This game looks fun. Might need to look into this.

Hi - great video. How far are you with your plankerton Storm shield defense? What would be great is to show the order of where the best expansion points are, so people can plan their base builds accordingly. I am on plankerton ad 2 and the amplifier seems to be on top of the hill to the east? But it would be nice to know where the next one is and so forth to plan. Thanks and keep up the great work.

if you have a sandwich wall longer than 3 tiles wide they will just break it so if you want to guide the husk around a long wall you need to double your sandwiches every 3 tiles to keep them moving to the opening

I've done this many times. It's not as effective as people claim. I have seen husk go for these even still instead of following the easy tunnel. It just adds more stuff for them to break. Doesnt really stop them from going where they want. It does work. But not always. Real reason your overkilling this is to force them into doing it. If it worked right you don't need to go crazy. Who wants to use 900 of all resources on 1 base

What happen if you use stair rather than rooftop?

Do you know if launchers disarm propane huskies, and is there a good way to set them up on the outer edges?

It's a security block at least that's what we call them although inmates probably hate that term we only use them for the weakest spots and prone areas simple walls usually do the trick of redirection if done right triple the amount of resources isn't viable sometimes

This is a really good way of defending your base and making choke points, however I don't think anyone got to your "DON'T DO THIS" section because there are so many bad defense builds using this right around the objective.

Looks cool!!! ...but no thanks lol It seems like you need too many resources to make it work right XD
