I couldn’t agree more about being your own advocate. One RE told me during a stim cycle that since I only had 2 follicles that he recommended doing an iui instead of ivf. He obviously didn’t read my chart and see I don’t have any tubes 🙄 I changed REs after that. Then another clinic I went to, the financial office told me my insurance doesn’t cover ivf. However, I had already contacted my insurance company and ivf was covered. I told her this and she was like oh well I’ve never seen anyone with this insurance have ivf coverage so she never even ran my insurance to verify, smh. Always be your own advocate! Best advice EVER!

Hi Tanika, this video will help many women I am certain. Thanks for putting it out there. I am 45, single, perimenopausal, but SO ready to have a baby. At my first RE appointment I was told that I was basically too old and directed me to donor eggs or embryo adoption. My doc did a vaginal ultra sound and commented that I had only two eggs in one ovary. To me that’s two possibilities of life. So torn about how to go about advocating for what I want which is to use my own eggs. Any advice?

I went to my endocrinologist and basically I ask for every testing possible she was on point with me In checking for everything and I was so happy the moment she steps out to speak to the one who’s in charge she comes back inside telling me differently that I don’t need to get tested because she figures since I ovulated allready on the clomid 150mg they want me to do it again I was like wow so I just took that just waiting for my cycle to start I just don’t know where to go for a second opinion any advice thanks
