How to activate Brake Service mode for rear brake pad and rotor replacement in a Toyota C-HR and other models with electronic parking brakes

I heard it's gotta be repgrammed by Toyota or some mechanic but I've done all my previous cars pads and rotors and this is the first electronic handbrake I've had and I'm bricks. Plz help? Is this true?
