the key will also separate the fob so you can change the battery

I have the 2022 model. The down key button doesn’t open windows with a long press but the up button does close them

Not all cars open/close window when pressing button. You have to set it up on techsc

I always put my key to sleep every time I park in the parking lot or go to work there's no way for them to tap into your car system and start the car or steal it or anything like that and the main reason is it saves the battery in the key itself otherwise the key is sending signals back and forth to the system

2 things . . .

1. You didn't say how to reactivate the key.
2. The open/close windows option didn't work, I had to get the dealers to programme it.

I tried in my new Toyota Corolla bring down my windows but wasn't work

windows down/up not work in european models...

My 2006 Honda Accord will roll all of the windows up and down with the key fob, as well. If you press and hold the unlock button all of the windows will roll down and vise-versa if you press and hold the lock button. However, I no longer have a key fob so I have to do it with the key in the door lock or wait til I start the car and roll the windows up or down with the button on the driver door!!!

It's not new, all Toyota's have this option with their fobs. Devactiving your key stops theives from using a scanner to grab your key if they are trying to steal your Toyota.

Why would you want to deactivate a key?
