I was actually pleasantly surprised with how chill all the families were with the kids playing D&D, kinda shocked it took this long for a satanic panic plot to be a part of this series.

So D&D, Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Harry potter, and any video game that’s included real-life references to mythology, religion or violence ever. Anything else that people want to cry and whine about being the gateway to “evil” behaviour?

How on earth did parents take one particular instance of their kids’ hobbies/life and blame that as the sole reason for their problems?

The news reports about satanic panic in the background of some scenes almost sounds like they are real clips right from the 80's.
I love the attention to detail in Stranger Things, it's an amazing collection of pop culture stuff.

When my older brother was a kid some girl at his school told him something along the lines of "pokemon is evil because it came from japan and that's where dungeons and dragons is from" which is no doubt something a trusted adult in her life told her. At first I had a hard time believing that someone actually thought this and then I remembered that stupidity knows no bounds.

Ever since season 1 episode 1 back then when the show wasn’t a thing and then somehow turn to be one of the best show in Netflix I must say the Duffer brother were the one who gave me the want me to learn to play this game like this looks fun using imagination plus a dices only your mind is your power

Pretty much just got started watching that season mostly the ones that claim engines and dragons is satanic in the eighties it was probably just something what the media brings up like with video games being violent and Harry Potter books are evil.

This is not a kid show. It hasn’t been a kid show since it started in 2016. Kids shows r rated G or PG not PG-13 or TV-14. Just because the main characters were kids doesn’t mean this was a kid show. This has never been a kid show and it never will be.
